Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: San Fernando Valley, CA
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
- Coordinate and support external audits, serving as a primary point of contact
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights and decision support
- Oversee accounting systems and ensure data integrity; support system enhancements and process improvements
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA preferred, not required
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory responsibilities
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools

Work Environment
- On-site or hybrid role based in the San Fernando Valley
- Occasional extended hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
