Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: San Fernando Valley, CA

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Coordinate and support external audits, serving as a primary point of contact
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights and decision support
• Oversee accounting systems and ensure data integrity; support system enhancements and process improvements
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• CPA preferred, not required

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory responsibilities

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools
